what we saw on the road the other day...

A friend and I went to the neighbor colony on Thursday. This is what we saw on our way home.

A semi-truck loaded with gas (bottles?) tipped because they were trying not to drive over a cow on the road, and apparently the road was wet.

The next day I heard on the radio that of the three people inside the cab, only one was hurt, the others walked away.

When we passed the cab (front part of the truck) it was squished together so much, that firemen were using the "Jaws of Life" to open it, to get the people out.

We were so glad that we hadn't come by sooner and maybe even see this happen. Scary!

The reason why we went to Neuland was that my friend wanted to check out a yard sale that some people were having. They had been living here for only 2 years and had some really good stuff from Germany. I bought a tool-box like carring case, to put my sewing stuff in. I love it!

I'm hoping to sell a quilt I made last year for the craft show; if I do sell it, I'll buy a new camera for myself. Then I won't have to post pictures taken with my phone anymore.

Thats all for today, I'm leaving you with a little fun picture I found. I call it "PAYBACK" :)

  1. Yikes! One good thing about an IPhone is at least it is yours! I can't carry my camera around because I have to "share"! :) I might get my own one of these years because there are so many times I wish I had it in my purse!
Don't forget to show me your new "sewing" box when I come over next time! :)
    have a great weekend!

  4. Wow!! That would have been very scary if you had actually seen it happen. I am relieved that only one person was hurt though. That in and of itself seems like a miracle. Oh and I love the last picture - very funny. :)
